Source Audio SB2 midi without additional SA hardware?

I paid something like $55 for my Hub. It’s small and light enough that with a little creativity, it could be mounted underneath some rail-based pedalboards with the control still accessible.

Seems like one does not need a hub after all.
And also that Source Audio was lying in order to get you to buy the hub.
Now the hot new thing is the MIDI adapter. That will be reverse engeneered in weeks.
