Source for LONGER 1/4" to 1/8" adapter cable?

I'm looking for a cable to send my (active) bass signal directly into the line in on my sound card, but I want one that is a bit longer so I don't have to reach down behind the computer every time I want to plug in. Anyone know a source for such a cable? 3" length would be ideal. All the ones I've seen online are only a few inches long.

Female 1/4", male 1/8", I assume I want mono on both ends...

The easiest way would probobly be to go to your local radioshack and make one.

If you've got any soldering skills you should be able to pull it off.

Yeah, I made my own using a guitar cable with a ruined plug (removed) and a mono 1/8" plug I had lying around.

The easiest way would probobly be to go to your local radioshack and make one.

Radioshack may have plug adapters that let you step a 1/4" down to 1/8". They also have the best selection of wall warts and related adapters in the universe.

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I wound up buying the Monster cable from Amazon and it actually worked out well with the extra length. I can plug it directly into the sound card and it easily reaches my preamp, or I can use it directly into my bass from the sound card. Definitely worth the $20.

It is mono -> stereo, so if you plug it in all the way you only get output on the left channel. But if you leave it one click from all the way engaged you get output on both speakers/headphones.
