Sources for Aria Pro II pickups.

The Kent Armstrong pickup made in the USA certainly is great. I ordered a couple different ones from the the UK based Kent Armstrong (run by Kent's Don apparently) and while good they were both noticeably lower in output than stock. Oddly in his item description he says they are overwound as the original pickups lacked enough heft. Ummm no not all. I've owned nearly a dozen vintage Aria SBs and couldn't be more untrue.

With the new reissue SB basses I wonder if Aria will offer the pickup as a buyable part?

Thanks. I believe the R60s use a reverse P configuration and I see that on the Kent Armstrong site, so I'll go with that. I would imagine most people who want replacement MB pickups want to get a broken bass working again, so not sure why he would wind them differently than the stock ones would be.

Rautia has sound clips on the website I believe. They really nail the look as well. A new replacement from AP would also be an option. Another idea would be to salvage one from a damaged piece. There is also an all out nuclear option if you are a sentimental die hard purist. For me, it would depend mostly on the project. What model is needing the replacement?

I got mine from Rautia as well back in 2015. Sounds great to this day. Im looking to replace the brass nut now. Excellent upgrade. Beautiful bass.
