Any suggestions? I'm familiar w/ Music supply center--any others? MSC has osb and plywood versions at $45 and $65, respectively. Nice thing is they look ready to drop in the speaker and roll. I have a Steelsound 2x12 from them which is fine, kind of cheap (plastic jack plate & handles) but fine for the price.

I'm looking for a 1x15 w/o horn that I'll drop a new emminence beta 15a in for a 8 ohm cab--idea being to pair w/ my ampeg 4x8 for a 4ohm stack.

A few years ago I got a 15" empty cab from Genz Benz loaded it with a Weber 15 AlNiCo and combined with a 64 Fender Bandmaster it makes the best Tele rig I"ve ever heard. Good luck in your search. You might try sending an email to some of the smaller manufacturers. Never can tell what they might have sitting around in a corner of the shop. Good luck.

hi. someone mentioned "steal sound" above. i'm sure they meant "steel sound".

i don't think they exist anymore, do they? if they do, could someone please post a link? i've been looking for them for months...

thanks,
LL

If craigslist is popular in your area, I'd put a wanted ad in the music section for a blown 15 cabinet, somebody may want to dump one for cheap. Check internal volume and tuning frequency of the cab to see if it will work with the beta. Of course you can always use WinISD and build one or copy an existing design.

try mojotone - they specialize in guitar cabs, but they will build you whatever you want. i had them build me a couple of custom 2x12 guitar cabs and their quality is second to none. very reasonably priced too.
