SPDT or DPDT?

What is the difference between an SPDT switch and a DPDT switch? I need a new one for the bass I'm working on and I don't know anything of what the current switch is except that it says on the side like this

ON ON
2A 250VAC
5A 120 VAC

which switch would I use for that?

To put it simply, the difference is that a DPDT switch is two SPDTs together on the same switch.

Does this switch have 3 or 6 terminals?

Your switches might be mildly excessively large. You don't need that much amperage or voltage (and it's not AC, but that's less of an issue). Any switch will mostly work, but those are a lot more expensive than the kind of switches you'd want for an instrument.

You need 1219, or 1220, depending on what color you want
