Speaker combinaton advice

I am currently playing through an Alembic F-1X or Thunderfunk amp using a Bergantino AE 410. Would like to add another cabinet and I'm leaning towards an Accugrove Whappo Jr 212 in combination with the Bergantino 410. Has anyone run this speaker combination? (Bergantino 410 & Whappo Jr 212) Or should I go with another Berg 410. Most of my gigs are out door venues or large clubs. Need some opinions.

Some people like to mix cabs but I never got along with it. I like to pile on more of the same. So I'd get another Berg.

There have been several posts on this topic that I've read and bassically, you never know what you're going to get FOH when you mix cabs, especially from different manufacturers.

I vote with the other TB'rs on adding another Bergantino 410.

One question I do have though, with outdoor venues and large clubs, how much PA support are you getting?

With your current setup, it seems you should have plenty of stage volume. Are you adding the second cab for just for more stage volume? What about the monitor mix? Can you have it adjusted so you can hear yourself better. Or, possibly raising your current cab to ear level or tilting it so it points at your head would be enough instead of adding another cab.

Basically I would be adding another cabinet for my larger venues with a classic rock band I play in. Not so much for stage volume but just for more bass presence (which may or may not be needed when I'm running through the PA) Mainly I would use a 2 4x10 cabinet set up for some of the clubs I play where I do not have PA reinforcement. I figure 8 10's would project more then 4 10's and possibly give you more bottom end. Keep in mind there's a Hammond B-3 and Marshall also on stage. It does get loud especially by the 3rd set. Likely 95% of the bassists I've worked with who had a 4x10 were too loud when they first dialed their rig up at the gig (and usually after the first time they turned down after being asked. This was the case even outdoors - although half the time the problem when outdoors was the rig blasting into the vocal mics. None of them needed a second 4x10. Unless the PA can't handle the bass, a 4x10 is more than enough. If it's not, either everyone else is TFL, you are going for a tone that's not appropriate for the ensemble, or the box is not pointed at the ears of the person who most needs to hear it.
