I've owned a folded horn 1x18, a 2x15, a 1x15, a 4x10 and a 2x10. But I voted for "12". Why? Because I think that of all the commonly-used drivers, a 12 has the best combination of characteristics for the type of sound I prefer - the phatness of a 15, with the quickness of a 10.

Of those four sizes, a 12 is the only one I haven't owned - yet. But that's about to change, 'cause I'll soon be ordering (2) three-way 1x12 cabs from Don @ Low Down Sound - probably with a couple more to order after the start of the new year.

I have a feeling these are going to sound very, very good...

Who voted for bigger than 18"?

I voted 12s. I like 15s.... but not to carry them ;) I don't want a lot of high end and find that 12s are a good tradeoff between tone, weight, and volume.

I can usually get away with 1x12 but a 1x10 would not be enough volume.
