I saw that the new Neo IV cabs only take NL2, but the Fusion S manual (p. 6) says:
"Connect your speaker cabinets to the amplifier outputs marked SPEAKER using a standard two conductor speakon cable or Gallien-Krueger four conductor speaker cable"

AFAIK a four conductor GK cable is just a standard NL4 speakON.

It's the NL2 panel mount connector that limits what can be plugged in.

NL4 is THE standard jack for amps. Mates with NL2 and NL4 plugs.

I can’t believe that any manufacturer would use an NL2 knowingly these days. I would double-check that it really is an NL2, that doesn’t sound right.

I recall seeing a Neutrik notice that they were either discontinuing the NL2 jacks or changing how they are being distributed.

FYI, @rag has specifically stated the two conductor speakON is required for the new Neo IV speaker line. I took this to mean NL2 based on the context of the post....see this post: GK Neo IV cabs

I did not assume the same thing applied to the new amps, especially since the manual says, "Gallien-Krueger four conductor speaker cable" works. But this could be a typo in the manual as discussed above.

Seems easy enough to test. If an NL4 does not easily mate with the amp, it probably has NL2 jacks.

I thought all NL2 panel mount jacks had markings so they are obviously NL2--all of the standard NL2 on the Neutrik website do, but maybe GK had some special jacks made without the labeling:

I don't see any indication these are 2-pole NL2 jacks, but maybe this was a prototype with NL4 jacks. If I remember correctly, this is what happened with the Neo IV cabs.

I don't see the NL-2 on the heads, those are NL-4 (all NL-2 jacks I have ever seen are clearly marked due to the disastrous results when a few manufacturers new to the product used them by mistake, not realizing that the industry as a whole had never adopted them (almost 30 years ago).:

Can somebody else confirm if this is correct or not? I just can't find any other examples with NL-2.

If it is true, I need to let out customer support guys know so that they have good information when providing player support with out cabs.

Please look at the photograph of @1bassplayinfool 's actual amp in post #30. The speaker jacks are clearly NL2.

I don't think that explains it. The earlier MB and MB Fusion heads had NL4 output jacks, and these heads did not biamp.

Personally I suspect it's going to be a problematic compatibility issue that damages the brand, so hopefully they had a good reason (explanation of my opinion--it's way easier to find a cable with NL4s on it than NL2s).
