Nope.. I emailed him back when it was first posted, then again yesterday. It's probably been sold for a while..
I only read tablature myself and create my own for each song I work up (mostly because the tablature that's out there isn't correct but you can get cool stuff from it while your transcribing your own). I also think that your in a great situation playing by ear which is part of Scotts lessons, he promotes this ability....some of the walking parts he teaches, in the second section, he starts getting fast and the sheet music just allows you to follow what he is doing.
Sheesh, I just got the mobile app working on my phone again after like, a week and I missed half a thread! Looks like some of our members have had some awesome new arrivals while I was away! Congrats dudes!
As for what I've been up to, I just played a show with a new indie band. if you guys wouldn't mind checking them out that would be cool:

This entire album/EP was recorded by the main songwriter not too long ago. Our show went over really well and I'm playing with them again soon, hopefully this will actually turn into a project, it's been really fun!

Anyone know what the pickup config on this is? It caught my eye on the GC site because it looked weird. Ideas?

Those are 2 Villex Pickups with a Villex mid Control and a OBP1 Preamp.
Hey guys, I posted these questions the other day, but Ho posted his incredible refinish project about the same time and everyone was justifiably distracted by the insane beauty of that bass. Not surprisingly, I got no response. 
So, I'm asking for help again. I just picked up an Aguilar OBP-2 from the classifieds and I'm thinking about installing it in my custom spalted Euro. It's the Aguilar OBP-2TK, so it has the bass and treble pots already prewired. My bass currently has the tone pump in it. So my questions are:
1) I want to have a blend and a volume. Where can I buy a blend pot and what's the best kind to buy?
2) Can I use one of the existing volume pots from the tone pump?
I've never done an install like this myself, just EMG with quick connects. However, I'm feeling confident that i can do it.
Any other tips would be appreciated!

You can use the one of the current 25K Volumes that are already in he bass as the main volume.
You will need a 25K Blend knob like this:

Thanks Sam!!! Hey did you get the sound clips posted somewhere? I want to her the tone pump vs the OBP-2. I'm really liking the tone pump right now and I want to be sure I'm not going to regret it.
Oh and will the current knobs work on these pots?
Wanted to ask the club for some honest opinions:
1) For a early Model (Non-trim TP) Euro 4, would a OBP-3 or a USA 18V be a better replacement? This existing non-trim TP is a bit hot compared to my other gear, and I really prefer to have notches on my eq knobs. Per my understanding I'd have a "dead" knob with the USA 18V (as it's wired treble, bass, master out of the box) and would gain sweepable mids with the OBP-3, but I'm not really clear tonally what differences I will hear.
As-is I'm pretty happy with the tone of the TonePump, but it's very hot out of the box, which makes switching between instruments difficult. I also just prefer to have knobs with indents at the flat position. It's kind of a picky thing, but it seems silly to me personally to practice for hours with a metronome, and then have to guess when I'm boosting or cutting EQ. Especially in a studio situation where consistency becomes key.
2) My Euro 4 arrived with a Halo Hardshell case that does not quite fit. I've seen some mixed reviews on the Spector branded cases. Can anyone recommend a non-Spector branded hardshell currently available? Have you had problems with the Spector branded ones as well?

Technically, there is no mid sweep on the OBP-3. You can choose between 400 and 800 Hz and can then boost and cut those frequencies from there if I am not mistaken. If you want a pre with a mid sweep, you would probably want to look into something like the EMG BQC.
I have heard both an OBP-2(9V) and an 18V USA circuit and they were surprisingly very close in tone to each other. An OBP-3 would give you a bit more control in tone with the mid select knob but I have not heard that in a Euro so I cannot speak about it compared to the 18V USA circuit.
1. My USA 18V (NS-4) has a master volume, pickup blend w/center detent, and a stacked treble/bass knob, also with center detents.
2. Gator cases are $99 at Sam Ass, and they have a pad in the lid which secures the strings, making movement impossible during transit. I have one for my Alex Webster Euro5, and it is great.
Sorry about that, you're correct, the USA 18V 3 knob combination is master, blend and stacked treble/bass.

I've considered the BQCs as well, but I'm on the fence as a number of folks on TalkBass, etc, have stated that the OBP and Spector branded stuff is a better choice if you like the out of the box Euro sound.
Also, good point on the OBP-3; I thought it was a knob that would let you select frequencies in the range between 400 and 800, didn't realize it was a 400 OR 800 hz selector.

I have played Spector basses with JR-TP, non-trim TP, Trim TP, OBP2, OBP3, BTC...I very much like the Aguilar electronics. The OBP 3 is my favorite of all of them. I like the ability to have some control over the preamps mids and it does make a tonal difference, IMHO, especially when run at 18V. Currently I'm running the OBP2 @18V in my Coda 5XL and love the vast Tonal palette it gives. You get smooth & clean, dirty & growly, punchy & zingy...OBP's do their best work running at 18V.
