SPECTOR® Owners Club

Well, as of this afternoon I have an all Spector bass stable. Legend #2 due Weds. One of which will quickly become the first fretless I've had in many years. Then the ReBop gets active EMG's and a BQC system. Excited.

Congrats brother! I hope once again to be there also.:):bassist:
We have a Spector doppelgänger............. If I said we need to get Scully and Mulder on this case, how many people would even understand the reference?
Oh yes I do...was one of my all time fav series. :)
I own the bass in question, played it at a Jam session yesterday in fact. I certainly never took the pics in the ad, and as stated before, there is a scratch in the upper horn that has happened since I've owned it. I'm confident that bass is still safe at my studio, as the building is very well secured, but you guys are starting to make me worry a bit here. :(
Dude...I would so be down at the studio NOW. :wideyed:
So what to do if Jeremy HAS his and the serial numbers MATCH ???????
I guess we look for the scar form separating conjoined twins ???
:roflmao: Love it Trace!

Now. Let's play this the other way. Say they do NOT match and Jeremy's is safe and sound. At that point I say we all throw $10 in the kitty so that he can go buy the thing. If for no other reason that the much needed forensic exam! We may have the greatest instance of Spector separated at birth that we will ever see. Or... We have uncovered the secret Spector cloning experiment or Foto-Flame division.

LMBO!:roflmao: I'm game! This is getting really exciting! One of the very first things that I do when I receive a new to me bass is take a photo of the serial# for safe keepings...just in case.

Ahem! I've an important Spector announcement to make...I'm a VERY proud owner of a new to me 2003 Woodstock NS-4(NS-2) Todd Cook, A.K.A. Bassboy01, very very generously sold to me tonight. Let it be said here, Todd is a true gentleman and outstanding person. Thank you Todd! You're the best!
Will be arriving this week! Someone pinch me! :bassist::hyper: This will be my very first Spector USA NS-2 in my hands. Here's pics that Todd sent me. I'll take some outside pics in the sunlight if I can find some here in the Midwest.

Congratulations Mike!.
I'm glad you were able to find something so quick. Beautiful grain pattern. Its pattern is similar to the one my cherryburst NS2A has...:hyper:

OAN ,,, I got my AH400SMX amp back from the shop unrepaired. :bawl: Now I'm looking for another AH350SMX or higher to swap out the Preamp section... Or an RAH350SMX (R=rackmounted).
Anyone got one of these they wanna sell?...

My drummer has one (RAH350SMX) that I think he's been entertaining letting go..I would use it occasionally for rehearsal.. man it's loud and great tone!

Good news: my bass is safe and sound. I start work a little later tomorrow so I'm going to be at the pawnshop that advertised w/those pics in the morning to see if I can unravel more of the mystery i.e. where those pics came from. They're a legit business, have bought a couple small amps from them before so I have a feeling they have an actual Spector for somehow obtained these pictures rather than getting shots of the actual instrument. Will find out in the morning. Now... Sleep.

Just got back from dropping the gf at home in LA. Ton of driving today. More info in the morning.

Very nice Michael....wonder why its marked as the NS4, any history on this (I know the SSD basses are NS4 and now the ones with the DC pickups are NS4)?
