Oh. Duh. On the serial debate.

I have word from the man himself, from an inquiry I placed years ago.

PJ likely won't mind me sharing this excerpt from an email exchange we had in
2015:

"(4) NS-2 / NS-4's completed 07-18-12 :

NS-2 #780 ultra amber, BEM board
......
NS-2 #781 black stain

NS-2 #782 buckeye burl gloss

NS-4 #783 walnut stain matte, ebony board FL"

783 was an NS-4 owned by a club member. As you can see above the serials on those are sequential.

It's good to know their playability is good. Seems weird to me that those types of basses has passive EMGs in them, I would think they would be equipped with active pickups.

Maybe in 18 years when all the kids are gone my wife will let me buy a used one

price point. At the time they were about $700 CAD IIRC. I really liked the playability at the time but then I got my first dingwall and it was game over for them.

How does the body carving on the ReBop compare to the new Korean-made NS basses? I'm wondering if my NS Pulse 5 (Legend body shape) has more or less the same curvature as a 2008 ReBop.

Rebop I had was fully curved, no different than a Euro and didn't have the "belly cut" that's on the Legend.

I swapped the Barts out with EMG DCs on mine and now it's unstoppable
