I can only dream about getting to a level where someone might ask me to play their basses in public. Right now, they'd probably ask me to NOT play their basses, in public, LOL!
YOU, my friend, are a beast of a player, and you deserve all the accolades and endorsements you can get! I had a beautiful Lull 24-fret P/J. It was an amazing bass. Wish I still had it. I understand your preference for Lull basses, Mike was a super guy, as well...
No such thing as "just a Euro", my man! Euro Spectors are usually better than most builder's premium lines. If there was no US Custom shop, we'd ALL be playing Euro Spectors!

I haven't announced it yet, but I'm becoming an official artist for Spector (most likely this upcoming week).
I'm fortunate that I play with guys that make me sound better then what I'm actually am.
You are correct about the Euros actually...I prefer them to the US made ones. I like the necks better.
I'll go on record saying I love the Koreans to...I'm actually turning on several players on them already.
I have another Korean in matte black coming next week and really looking forward to my Euro LX.
And who knows...Maybe something a little different....Like a Euro model, that is not out yet

I dont have a Spector yet, I'm still saving up and looking at all options. In the meantime, I found this on Reverb and thought it might be a cool cheap project piece. Does anyone know what series it is from and how nice it is?

Hard to play anything with just a neck.
No pick of the heel, but assuming this is a bolt-on neck from the Legend series. Gumby shaped five string headstock and the "licensed by" tag on back say Legend to me. What do others say?

Unless you are a woodworker with access to tons of hardware I find projects like this futile and costing way more then what the actual bass would cost.
It's not like most Fender styles and you can find body for it anywhere.
You can get a solid Korean for cheap money.

And I'm stoked to see the Spectors you have coming in.
I have similar style knobs that are aluminum and very light weight. They are on the Sadowski basses I heard.. I got them at Fatbasstone.com ask for Max at he is awesome. Tell him I sent you.

It was a heavy conversation on the Lull side to have and navigate correctly and keep the integrity on how it would be handled with (2) brands.
The Korg folks are like we don't care if you use other basses just show us love and here is a slice of pizza
I feel these 2 brands compliment each other very well.
I'm not exactly sure what my final Spectors will be loaded with electronic wise and such we are still Experimenting with both from EMG and Nordstrand.
Those companies have been very kind as well. Im looking forward to going to New York for the Spector guys this fall (when my kiddos go back to school). Who knows what will come out of it.
I'm doing a 'record' with one of Greg Howe premier students Sam Fern this fall that is more like a instrumental gospel funk I plan on playing Spectors exclusively on those tracks. I want to share those tracks to help show another side of Spector to the public.

That is very awesome Tony! Let me know what you get as far as preamp and pickups. I'm really really loving this Delano with the EMG TW's.

Which model is made in Korea?
The Performers and Legends are made in Indonesia.
I did discover from Sweetwater's website that the NS Pulse and NS Ethos are made in Korea. Which makes sense because they're between 1000 and 2000 bucks.

I'm expecting good results with the 40 PJXs and BTQ...I also fully intend on sculpting it with a the HAZ preamp pedal. (So far I like the HAZ pre better with the EMGs then Nordstrand) that could change.
The Nordstrand are already colored in a way I like. Although I did a track the other day where I boosted the highs and lows on the HAZ with Big Blades and the slap tone through the REDDI & GK was infectious.
However, until I hear those EMGs in the mix live and in the studio the Jury is out...(well mostly out lol)

The Pulse just kills...I love it.
That is a lot of bass for little money.
Personally, I would prefer a different pre BUT how a bass sounds and plays unplugged is spot on.
There are some signature Legends made in Korea.
It seems like if it's sells for below $1000 it's probably made in Indonesia. If it's between $1000 and $2000 it's probably Korea. If it's above $2000 It's Czech Republic (Euro). Above $5000 is USA.
Unless they switched over, the Legend Neck-Through and Classic were being made in Korea. Performer and Legend Standard were Indonesia.
The Ethos is basically a Legend Neck-Through, so I wouldn't be surprised if they kill the latter. They have too many lines, now.
