SPECTOR® Owners Club

You just have to post a picture as this is the Spector club. Tracebassplayer will assign you a number but I have not seen him post lately so you might have to send a personal message to him.
I have been waiting for the iPhone app to start working again...
I did manage to get the last 2 requests done, though....

I'll get waynesworld assigned here in a minute...

I'm close to joining the Spector club, there's a used Legend 6 calling to me... I'm a bit hesitant though as I can't try it before I buy it - I have no concerns about the condition of the bass, but I am worried about the transition from a 5 string Ibanez to a 6 string Spector. That neck's going to be huge!
Being a former Ibanez 5 r owner recently, it'll be a bit of transition but you'll find the neck more comfortable, IMO. :)
Please do let me know if you're in town. I am a beginner (Seriously. Started nine days ago.) but aside from the pain in my wrists and forearms, I'm really enjoying it :) And your Coda is gorgeous!
Cool! Did you play guitar prior to the bass? You picked a great bass company to learn playing bass on. The high quality of build will make it a more pleasurable experience. My beginning bass was a very poorly constructed Squier Jazz IV, I just about quit learning/playing bass, until I bought my first Spector, a Legend 4 Classic, what a difference it made! I most definitely will contact you next time we're in town!
Nice!

1 thing to note: That's a Spector Q4 Pro. :) They pre-date the Legend series by a few years. Passive EMG pickups (arguably better than the EMGSSD in the Legend) and an EMG BT pre-amp.
Good catch Andrew! (I can't believe I missed that:bag:)

Hey Trace! We missed ya! I quit using that mobile app on my portable devises ages ago when they refused to recognize and fix the bugs & quirks it had...:banghead: Just Safari up! Much more user friendly. BTW Love your backdrop wall of TE!
Well I pulled the trigger, got a slate grey Legend 6 Classic on it's way to me now!
Congratulations!:bassist::thumbsup::hyper:
Didn't realize how many people use the mobile app.
:***: I hope their "new" version will be better than the last one:rollno: (Sorry...just a strong believer in if you're putting out a product, make it great. And then fix it when it's broke.;) )

Hey alls I've decided i am gonna part with my ns2000 4. Have a jazz build coming and still dealing with car tranny issues. I put it online locally but would sell to a spector club member if u guys want one. It's i good shape a few scratches here and there and has a D tuner. If interested lemme know if not iI'll return it for cash. Ty and yes its the one in the avatar pic.

So does this mean we are forever Spector Club part 78 now???

Welcome to the Sickness Wayne!

Bummed i wont be able to go to the Spector Hang and meet some of you in person and see some of these beauties up close.
We are still a few months away from the hang Zitch and I'm hopeful you can find a way to put it together, add your name and basses to the list brother!

Wha Wha What??? Is that a good thing? I was fine when I thought it was a Legend, but I like the sound of Q4 Pro even better :) I'm going to email Spector with pics and SN to ask the year and such. Q4 Pro huh? Never heard of one before. I paid $299 with a Spector hardshell case.

It has one nick (visible in the picture) but otherwise is pretty pristine. The neck may be bowed forward slightly more than is ideal (from what I've read), but I think that should be an easy adjustment.

I owned a guitar, for some reason, for years. But never played. Didn't even try to learn. For some reason I recently just had this compulsion to play bass, and so far I love it.

I first bought a Yamaha RBX170EW (nice bass, but I didn't LOVE it), amp, etc... at Guitar Center a week ago Friday. Then I found a Schecter that I thought I wanted to buy (Used. Seemed like a much better deal.) so I returned all the stuff to GC this past Friday, planning to get the Schecter in the morning. Then I saw that another MGR had the Spector and a Warwick Corvette Rockbass (both blue), so I went there. After much deliberation I chose the Spector. The Rockbass sounded fantastic, but the Spector also sounded great, looked amazing, and felt perfect :)

Looking forward to getting together when you're in town.

You made the better selection for sure. The Q4 Pro was the forerunner of the Legend 4. With the Legend Spector made a curved body instead of flat body like the Q4 and Performer Pro series. All outstanding basses! :bassist:

They're equally as good as the Legends. They just look different and have different electronics. They have the NS-2000 body design, instead of the NS-2. Same tuners & bridge, though. :) Both are good choices & your price is very reasonable for a Q4 in that condition. :)

Thanks for the information. I'll have to find a Legend locally to compare.

Thank you. I'll have to update my profile to reflect Q4 Pro.
