if it were my $, I'd want a more natural or tobacco burst in that matte finish. but again, I know you are not me. You're a much better surfer anyways.

In all seriousness, that is nice looking bass, with a unique spin on the Spector sound.

I actually really like the matte, my current LX is becoming my main player in the stable already and with those pickups I can experiment by getting the J pickups in a then EMG 40 shell and have a 35" scale. (Unlike the classic at 34")

I haven't hit it much this winter (out just a few times) and was kooking hard in just chest high waves…There is a swell kicking in right now and my expectation is to surf way better than last week.

@ TonyP- I dig the Haunted Moss. As far as the 40J's in soapbar config they do not sound like the J5's. The J5's are hotter from my experience. Maybe put a preamp in that can boost the output of the pups a little. Aguilar OBP-3 maybe...

It would have the legacy preamp and I don't dime anything. So I could add some juice. I also have the option to use a DK Harmonic Booster to adjust anything on my analog board and with my digital one with the Anagram…There are no limits (with in reason ).

I technically have everything I need to work. I just like having a second of whatever gets the most play.

I don't want to be the fat kid who takes half the flan from the table.

Besides, I'm keeping my eye out for future releases. You never know what might be coming out in the future

No kidding. I have passed that many times without even considering going in. Won't do that again. I'm on the south shore and don't get up there often enough but this will go on my list for the next time.

GC has an RST on clearance at the Nashville store. It's marked down to $2700. The set up is nice and it plays great, as well as being a flyweight instrument. Unfortunately, that's not fitting my budget, and I really kinda want a better figured top for that much money, because I'm poor. I really wanna find one down around $1500 - $1700 (which will probably be used) so I don't have sell any of my current ones. And here's the FF'in entry.
