Are you sure this was a customer return? That discount and the bridge problem make it look like a B-Stock instrument to me.So, a local store has a used Spector CST 4 string in stock that was a customer return so they're selling it for $1000.00 off the new price $4949.00 CAD new - listed at $3949.00 CAD used.
I played it and it's got a great neck, and nice and light, but upon closer inspection the bridge route is terrible. I wouldn't be so finicky on a $1500 bass but for $4-5K it had better be perfect. This one is not, unfortunately, and honestly should be a B-stock in my opinion. Admittedly Burl is soft and delicate to work with but the gap around the top of the G string side is unacceptable. It's hard to accurately photograph but it isn't up to what I would expect for $5K CAD.
Yes, my drummer works for the store selling it and gave me the history. Are you sure this was a customer return? That discount and the bridge problem make it look like a B-Stock instrument to me.
I agree with this comment for sure. There's one particular flipper I keep seeing with 'driveway photos' that's been doing this for a while, definitely a commercial seller with 170 or so sales feedback… that IMO should be a commercial account, but they're getting away with it.I agree with one of the comments who basically said that anyone just looking for flips as revenue should be a commercial user and need to pay for that account.
Agreed. Nothing wrong with it, just be honest about what you're doing. That person is running a business here.I agree with this comment for sure. Only my 40th anniversary Fender Custom Shop Precision Bass has gold hardware out of my collection of 7, so I'm not a huge fan of gold hardware.Kinda thinking about going to black hardware on the RST. I already own a couple sets of Hipshot Ultralites, USA and Licensed, so it'd be just the bridge. $200...it's my only Spector with chrome. Whatcha think?

Nice looking bass. Also gotta agree about the black hardware.
I suppose, but that's not at all what I was going for. The LHZ definitely does give it that sound, but I love the DCBs because they're open/organic and I run them in passive mode sometimes.Did the LHZ 3-band pre give it a more classic Spector sound?
It kinda looks more...tied together or cohesive in color with the black bridge. And mine has black pickups and knobs already. Hmmmmm...
Kind of bothers my now, I see several that have like 140+ feedback and 7+ listings for high end gear, one even listed as newAgreed. Nothing wrong with it, just be honest about what you're doing. That person is running a business here.

I bought this and I love it and it's great but i really don't love it so here's my sacrifice to you - on bass.Kind of bothers my now, I see several that have like 140+ feedback and 7+ listings for high end gear, one even listed as new
Cmon "flippers" you should be listed as commercial accounts… I guess the mods don't care if you have videos of your gear in your home "showroom" demonstrating the 'bass you no longer play' for sale that you bought at NAMM![]()
And I'm only asking $500 more than I paidI bought this and I love it and it's great but i really don't love it so here's my sacrifice to you - on bass.
Hey All,
Looking for your experience, advice etc.
I own Euro CST 5 and looking for an option of replacing preamp with LHZ04 or 05. I am wondering if that is worth the hassle.
I am not going to get USA Spector, not yet!
Has anyone done that apart from one video from LHZ YT channel?
Thanks and Regards!
