Details

Rare Emerald finish Spector Euro 5 string. I am the original owner and purchased it new in 2003 as a 2001 model year clearance. The bass has been stored in a humidity controlled room for the last few years and has nice low action. Currently strung with DR LoRiders. Everything is original except the volume pots were replaced a few years back as they wore out. There is some wear on the bridge finish and a small ding on the lower horn, otherwise in very clean condition as it was rarely gigged. The case is pretty worn, but still very functional.

Edit:
Weight is 10.6 lbs,
Scale is 35"
Pre-amp is the Aguilar OBP-1 18v

Price reduced!
$1,000 USD shipped insured in the CONUS. No trades please.

If I were to guess it’s a 34” scale as the bridge is further away from the butt of the body. With Spector 35” scale basses the bridges are real close to the butt.

FWIW:
The CRFM series of Czech basses ended in 2000.
That bass is actually a late 2001 Euro5.
It is 35" scale.

My #1 is a 2001 Euro4. A better series (IMHO) than both the previous CRFM
and subsequent/current Euro LX series.
My Euro4 is so good I sold my previous two US Spectors.

Beautiful bass. It should be one of the best of the Czechs. GLWTS.

You May be wrong here; the Euro is a model that has an Alder back a thin slice of walnut in the middle and a maple top; this bass has solid maple wings just like the USA made Spectors; so I don’t think this is an Euro but a CRFM model . (CRFM stands Czech Republic Figured Maple).

I'm not.
There are no CRFM's with a NBxxxx serial.
Spector started the Euro4 and Euro5 basses (yes, still solid maple) in 2001.
When they did, they restarted the serial numbers with an "NB" in front of them.
Trust me. It's not a CRFM. It's a Euro5.

The series changed to "LX" (ex: Euro5 LX) in early 2004.
THOSE have the hippie sandwich of maple top, walnut slice, plain alder back.
…..and it's a late 2001, not 2002.

Thanks for the breakdown. It was advertised as a CRFM when I bought it, but it could have been a mistake by the dealer. I couldn't remember if it was a 2001 or 2002, so your clarification was helpful. Regardless, It is still one of the best Euro bass years In my ears, but it doesn't get enough play these days.
