Fairly early Korean Spectos NS2a - this one has the classic concave body. Serial number is on the picture with the electronics cover (that one is missing screws, btw).
Specs are typical for that vintage, so Spector brand passive P/J pickups, K-HAZ Korean HAZ clone.
The body is in surprisingly good shape for a 33y/o instrument. I tried to highlight the three more noticeable defects - two small dents (one of them is depicted twice in the pictures) and a crack around one of the pots. Everything else seems fine. Neck is straight, no mechanical issues. It plays really well. Sustain is unreal. And the growl... oh my. Currently strung with ~3 month old D'Addario flats.
The K-HAZ is not perfect. Everything dimed it sounds exactly like you expect a Spector to sound, but the two volume pots are a bit uneven, so dialing in different sounds turned out to be harder than I wanted it to be.
It seemed to run through the first battery really fast, but that was only on one battery, once I replaced that it has been fine since. I also occasionally had issues with the jack. Unplug and replug and it worked - no idea what's up with that.
My luggage hanging scale says 8.8lbs.
Prices for ~33y/o NS2a seem to be all over the place. The ones that I found here and on Reverb ranged from $650 (that one was beat up) to $1375 (really???) over the past year. Pricing it to sell.
I would prefer a local deal in Portland, OR (or within reasonable driving distance around here). Otherwise buyer pays actual shipping. Paypal.
Why am I selling it? I bought a 2019 US-made NS2, so this one is unlikely to be played anymore.
