Details

Up for trade is a 2012 Spector NS5H2 with a nice buckeye top. 35" scale. Includes the stock Aguilar OBP-3 preamp and EMG 40 CS-TW pickups. Knobs are V / V / mids / stacked bass and treble. The volume knobs have push-pull pots to allow selection between single coil and humbucker for each respective pickup.

The bass is in great condition with only minor player wear. Will ship in the original Spector-branded hardshell case that is worn but still perfectly serviceable.

For trades, I'm looking for something like the following, but feel free to swing anything by me (5 strings highly preferred less the P basses below)! Can be + / - cash as needed:

Updated trade bait:
US Lakland 55-94 or 55-64
Lull 5 Strings
Nash PB57 or PB63
Nice US Fender P basses?

Hi Fernando! Things have changed over the years, but the big differences would be:
  • Where it's made. The Rebop bolt-ons are made in Czechoslovakia while the US models are made in New York. The US-made instruments are more "handcrafted" than the ones made in Czech, which is a much higher volume shop.
  • Electronics. Most of the Rebops had EMG-HZ pickups (which are passive) and maybe either a Tonepump or an Aguilar OBP-1 or OBP-2 preamp (depending on the model), while the US models have active EMG 40TW pickups and an Aguilar OBP-3 preamp. I should have noted in my original description that the controls for this bass have a coil tap function as well - you can pull up on either of the volume knobs to make that respective pickup a single coil. I'll update my description to reflect that.
There might be other differences as well (like wood sourcing, maybe?), but I'm not sure - someone with more Spector knowledge might be able to jump in. Let me know if you have any other questions!
