Spector time

I finally got me Spector Euro 5 stringer, now I have to figure out what to do with all the sound this thing makes!
I cant beleave how good it sounds, wish I would have tried one of these years ago.
The sound I was searching for "I found it" I kept changing strings, amps and effects with my other basses when all I had to do was play a Spector!!! HOLLY COW MAN[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I have also recently acquired a Spector (a '97 NS-5CR) and can't help thinking to myself, "where have you been all my life?"

My Stingray will be getting some rest, its a nice bass and it sounds good. Now I have to be totally honest it aint got nuthin on the Spector!
Same goes for the Fender P and Warwick FNA that got fired their it's jobs.

Fender hotrod P: good for playing classics
Warwick FNA: was too sterile, thin & hurt my fret hand.
Stingray: Slap or pick but not too hot for finger style.

Spector: Good lord thank you for directing me to this bass!

HELL YES! THAT'S WHAT WE LIKE TO HEAR! The warwick FNA i tried was boring too. Lacked low end, even on an ashdown 4x10. Nothing liek my thumb at all. Not tried a musicman or precision yet.

I get nothing but compliments from the tone of my 5 string Rebop at every gig I play.

Very nice, the translucent red over flame maple is a great look. The only regret you will ever have over that bass is if you sell it...

I just realised, that bass is the euro equivelant of Mike Kroeger's bass that he uses on teh Live At Home DVD. I want one.

I'm not shure what year it is or what pre-amp is in it. The flame maple wings go all the way through. The pre-amp is a plain black box. Has gold schaller tuners, It has the SS logo not the SSD logo.
How do tell the year it was produced and ID the pre-amp?

I dont think the neck feels anything like the warwick!
The FNA I offed had a very ruff feeling fretboard overly chunky frets.
My Spectors fretboard feels smooth as a babys backside.

Wow! I've NEVER heard that one before. There is such a HUGE difference between Warwick and Spector necks. I can't play Warwicks at all due to their horrible neck design, (though I do LOVE the sound of wood) however I LOVE the necks on my Spectors.

I hear you! The Spector neck is a dream to play My dislike is for the Warwick bolt-ons..... now THEY are like baseball bats! However, the Wenge neck-through Warwicks I've found to be very playable....
