Spector Vs Warwick

I still own a Brooklyn Spector after many years on a Warwick Streamer and now also have a fender Ultra Precision. The Spector are faultless in build, super reliable, and sound great though not as versatile in tone as the fender. They are also heavy unlike the Warwicks which don’t feel as alive in your hand as the Spector but are easier to carry to the gig.

The Spector I own (an 80s Spector Kramer neckthru NS2A) is heavy but I like the sound that comes with that weight. I like my Warwick Corvette too just for the active/passive switch alone. Just recently bought a Fender Precision too. MIM of course.

Thread is rather old, but just throwing it out there since I came across it.

I've owned a Spector Euro LX, Euro Classic, Euro RST, Dimensions, and an NS2.

I've also owned a GPS Corvette, Streamer Stage II, and a Masterbuilt Thumb.

I currently still own the LX, Classic, RST, and NS2. I do not have any of the Warwicks anymore.

Someone else in this thread mentioned that the Spectors wouldn't work for metal, however, I play death metal in my primary band, and I swap between my Spectors based on tuning. In another band, I play funk and some soft rock. The Spectors work fantastically there too.

Warwicks are great, don't get me wrong, but having owned many Spectors and many Warwicks, I say Spector all the way. I don't have any Warwick anymore and I don't particularly miss them.

Yeah, that's how I feel about it too. I like Waricks, but to me, Spectors are king.

I liked my Spectors better than my Warwicks, but neither works for me due to the neck reach for the first few frets.
