Spectors....WOW!

During my lunch break, I had an urge to go to a guitar store and so I went. There I found several Spectors hanging on the wall. Now I may have touched a few Spectors before, but today...WOW! I picked one up and it had the perfect feel and tone control (IMO). I haven't had an experience like that in a long time. I don't know what model it was; it had 4 strings, Badass bridge, EMGs, all white, and it was in the $1500-1700 price range. It could have been the SWT 700 head I played it through, but, man, the feel was awesome. My next bass was going to be a EBMM Stingray, but I don't know anymore. I might have to rethink that one!

I owned a Euro LX in the past and loved its tone. However, the neck profile simply killed me when playing it for a long time.
That`s the only reason why I didn`t keep it. Otherwise it`s a great bass.

I loved my Rebop 5 except for one thing. For some reason it fell flat on it's face when the strings became fairly worn. Sounded really bad. Now my SR5... I recently noted that the strings had been on quite a long time. I made a mental note to get them changed, but every time I plug in, it growls and sustains like they are fairly new strings. That alone (to me) is a big deal. Maybe the EMG's in the Spector were to blame?
