New and not sure if in the right spot, but have a question about signal splitting. Main rig is a Hartke LH1000 through two hydrive 410 cabs, tuner->cs3-> distortion (landphil and ocd). I have a rumble 200 sitting around and was wondering if i used an aby box (i thibk thats what id need) and split the signal to run clean through the hartke and distortion through the rumble, if it was a)possible and b) would i encounter a problem due to the the difference in amp wattage? Any thoughts appreciated, and if not in the correct forum, can someone point me in the right direx.

Your question would get more responses in the Amps thread, but here goes:
An AB/Y box would be able split your signal in two different directions. Yes, you can use one for clean, and one for effected. Don’t worry about about different wattage from two amps—set the volume of each amp to get a good balance (turn down the more powerful one).
This is a lot of equipment to setup just to accomplish a single foot tap that changes from clean to effected. Doesn’t your amp have a foot-switchable effects loop (effects send and effects return)? If so, put all your effects in the loop, and engage them with one tap of the foot switch.

Thanks for the reply and insight. Havent been on any forum in a long time, so just kind of figuring all this out again. The reason im wanting to split the signal through two amps-one clean and one dirty, as opposed to just through one, is that when running the distortion pedals, i feel like it loses the low end, so i figured id experiment and see how it would sound running the two amps together (clicking the distortion off on the other amp when not needed, so hopefully in theory not losing any volume). Ill copy the question and move it to the proper forum. Thanks again
