Bought a Squier 40th anniversary P bass 7 weeks ago, and the neck has developed a hump at the 6th fret..Chicago music exchange wont help. I was told to take it to Third Coast, a Fender authorised shop, and they say Fender probably wont do any fix under warranty!!! I'm pissed. Anyone come across this??

Sorry for your hassle. The truss rod on my 2021 Affinity Precision is pushing the walnut strip out of it's routed channel. I took it undrr warranty to the House of Guitars where I purchased it and a new neck has been ordered. Hopefully you will get satisfaction.
I'd be annoying to the retailer & Fender early & often. There's no reason they shouldn't be able to remedy the situation.
