Squier Bronco Pickups/String Width?

Hi All,

Question: Is the Squier Bronco pickup dimensions the same as a standard single coil, like a strat pickup? Just a drop in?Also, does anyone know the width of the E-G strings over the pickup with the stock bridge?

The problem with using a standard strat pickup with a Bronco is that the pickup poles won't line up with the springs. That being said, a cheap strat pickup is exactly what comes stock with the bass. Rail pickups work better though. I just replaced one with a GFS Lil Killer. It's great.
