was given a CV jaguar P Bass necks does anyone know if they will fit directly into a standard P Bass body or will the pocket need to be modified

As long as it has 20 frets, it should fit.

If it's a standard 34" scale, it should be a direct replacement with no modification. If it's the 30" short-scale version, I doubt it.

its 32" im planning on putting it on a custom made P bass body i know i need to move the bridge up an inch just wasnt sure if it was the same pocket dimensions

I was thinking of buying one of these basses. I might not be able now but i do want a jag bass one day. Love the classic vibe series. I own a few classic vibe instruments and love them. I keep checking sweetwater so i can pick out the heaviest one and maybe get one with figured woods like i have before.
