Squier P-bass ??

hello and good day all

iam new to this forum and would like to ask few quiestion about this bass, as far as i know squier did produce indonesia bass at 2009-now.. bur this kind of squier i found at flea market a lilye bit odd.. the serial number says SN IC00088928

here is the pic ( sory for lack of quality by the way )

hope anybody with a squier experiences could share it here...

that's one of my favourite Squires. it's a Squire Precision Special, comes stock with the added J pup and the neck like a jazz bass neck. I've read that the bodies are alder but I don't know that's true or not. I had plans on putting "better"pups in mine but it's sounds fine as is so I'm leaving it alone. the only thing lacking on the bass is quality tuners, this is one thing I'm picky about so I'll be putting some Fender 70's style tuners on it and while I'm at it I'm going to clear coat the headstock to make it look even better. by far my favourite cheap bass, nice score.

somehow the bridge potensio is stuck, i need to get busy with the potensio and a new string....
