Squier P/J

Hopefully a few gurus can help me out here. I have a squier p standard, also with a j pup fitted. The serial number starts with 00 being a 2000 model, made in indonesia. I thought it was my understanding that the deluxe had the p/j arrangement, or is this a factory production?

What puzzled me is the cavity on the j pup is crooked (wobbly), i was thinking maybe it was an aftermarket setup.. Nice to know! I just had a setup done, pickups raised, new Byrnes pots (that gibson are currently using) and a switchcraft jack. Absolutely love it.

Squier Standard series is now called the Vintage Modified series as I understand it. I read it on the internet sometime back, so it has to be true! :hiding:
I have the same bass. Nothing wrong with this bass a good setup can't cure!

No. The Standard line was an intermediate series between the Affinity and Vintage Modified lines. Standard and VM models were always two separate entities.
