Squier Paranormal Strings - what roundwounds are you using?

Got my Red Rascal - in the process of converting it to bridge pickup only. It has a distinct rock vibe with the stock Squier strings (105's and long scale with the colored ball ends including the pastel green G string instead of the D'addario dark green) but they are really noisy and clanky on the frets so I want to try something else with a rock vibe. I have D'Addario XL's on other short scales so looking for 105 rounds and something different than the D'Addario's but still with a rock vibe. Thought about Boomers but open to other ideas - what are you using and whats your brief take on how they sound on the bridge pickup?

Those colored ball ends... Are they gold-red-silver-green?

For nickel rounds with a "rock vibe" that are not "noisy and clanky on the frets", I would suggest the SIT Power Wound Nickels.

EDIT: I don't play a Rascal personally.

Got my Red Rascal...
Is that a short scale with thru-body bridge like the Mustang? That means you would probably need "medium scale" strings.

The good new is SIT Power Wound Nickels DO come in "medium scale" 45-105 (NR45105M).

Ordered the SIT powerwound nickels on the black friday deal - 30% off and free shipping. Got the medium scale for the rascal and they arrived today - just installed them and wow - they are wonderful. great lows, plenty of pleasant mids and high end and not clanky - thanks for the recommendation!
