Squier Troy Sanders jaguar

Chris Aiken and Clyro is one thing. Troy is an excellent bassist though(one of the better ones in modern music, for sure) and Mastodon is actually pretty huge. In fact, love them or hate them, if you're into metal/heavey rock and don't have any inclination as to who they are, you've been living under a stone.

What's with the Squier bashing? They are coming out with great gear these days considering the selling price. The Fender version of this looks great, but the Squier model looks damn solid. Plus Troy is playing them live, so I can't imagine that they are awful to play.

Is this basically a silverburst version of the existing Jaguar Special (with block markers)? I'm struggling to spot any other differences.

I prefer this version to the actual Fender. I really dig the stripped down look of the MP and Squier Jags. The control panels on the MIJs are cool but I guess I just prefer the cleaner look.

I own a Squier troy sanders jaguar.It's a decent playing bass. I really just bought it for the colour, but it's turned out to be a really fun player. My only upgrade was to a babicz bridge. Pickups sounds great. The neck is decent.

Looking at both the Fender and the Squier models, with no bias toward or against either (I own/have owned both and have loved or loathed them on their own merits). I have no problem paying for quality as long as I am GETTING quality, so I ask, understanding full well the wrath I'm about to unleash: which would you recommend and why/why not?
