our sound guy has told me that the VM sounds better than my Fender Jazz.

I'm not into Seether myself but my sister is so I know how they sound, and Id say no not really. You'd be wanting deep lows and probably wouln't want the bright scooped sound the Jazz does well.
The Squier VM Jazz isnt that good IMO, I had one, terrible neck with buzzing frets, pickups SO WEAK, and flaws in the finish to boot.![]()
