Squier VM Jaguar Bass

I guess it's a good thing (for me, that is) the original passive Jag isn't offered in that trans red, I don't have the room for another bass!
seems like the Jaguar is a home-run for Squier, i got the GREAT 2010 VM Jag and can´t believe i have to buy another Jag .... maybe the humbucker version, or should i try the new Jazz Bass .... hmmmmmmm?!
I am thinking of a second Jag, and swapping the necks. Getting the black active PJ, and having the black headstock & white inlays would look vicious.
I umfortunately has to return my Jag as the elextronics were a mess. The pots need to be replaced at the very least.
In any case, the Squier Jag is a great value (for $300!) When in working order! I was amazed at the fit and finish of the bass I returned.
I decided not to replace it as I have 8 other P and J basses.

Item 14 is what I would want to replace. What is needed would be something that would provide the part number for a black PG. I do not seem to find any parts lists for the new 2011 line online.
Although the HB bass would cut quite well, couldn't they've moved the humbucker closer to the neck?

I was thinking the opposite: a J in the neck position.
I believe that the MM-types are deep and moody even at the bridge and they might be in direct competition with another dark-moody P-type up higher in the treble/secondary position.
So...these new ones look cool, but are 100 bucks cheaper than the model originally discussed in this thread. What are the differences?
That humbucker one looks cool, but I don't like the position of the pickup at all. Too close to the bridge for me. I tend to play with my thumb resting on top of the pickup.

I overlaid the HB and a Music Man and the p'ups from what I can tell are in the same place.

The nut-to-p'up & nut-to-bridge scale ratio appears to be 10:1 on both of them.
The Bongo bridge p'up is even in the same place

Actually some places have the VM-Jaguar at the lower price now too - I dunnow why or how it got lowered especially on the VM-Hummers since they are active too and yet cost less.
Another few weeks and we'll all start seeing them in stores and then we'll know what's up.
