id just like to give a short scale a shot.

If my fretless doesnt get any bites I just may do that
and get one eBay. Replacement OEM Mustang pickups are relatively
affordable and the replacement pickguard is about the same

$149 at Best Buy. Was there today and played one. Used, in good shape 70 - 90 dollars is not out of the question. And FWIW, nat a bad little bass either! Needs better strings and rolled edges on the fretboard (IMHO) but otherwise kinda neat!
