SQUIRE JAZZ PICKUP REPLACEMENT

Im thinking about upgrading the pups on my Korean J Bass . They are both the same length 92mm , i think the same as some MIM jazz basses . Is there any pup options that wont involve me routing out the bridge position cavity . A lot of people talk about Squire pup replacement but I never seem to see any configuration problems mentioned , or do people just rout out the rear cavity ? Thanks
PS Ive been told by a guy who can supply me a set of Bartolini`s that I could fit 2 front 92mm front pups as they are split coil types . Is this the case as I know the front and rear pickups have different wiring to cancel noise .

I just replaced the pups in my Squire VM Jazz with some DiMarzio model 123's. The pickguard had to be widened a little bit near the round part where the pup screw goes in, but other than that it was simple. These pickups really are HUGE sounding! I put in a DPDT switch for parallel/series switching, and I'm really enjoying the sound. They're clear, but punchy and have a great growl when overdriven. A big bottom and smooth mids...That bass with flats on it sounds so good, I don't want to stop playing.
I gigged a 2 1/2 hour concert last Saturday and I've never sounded better.

This is exactly what I'm thinking of getting done next week. Already got the flats and series/parallel switch in place.
