Anybody else as excited by this bass as I am? I've been wanting a P/J 5 String for a long time. And this one looks to be selling for $299 new. Almost seems too good to be true. I can't wait to try one.

That's weird. I definitely saw ads that it was coming out in February 2018. Now they're not available. I don't see it now. I wonder if they pulled the model if presales didn't hit a mark they set. They don't make this model anymore, I have one, it's a great playing bass. I replaced the bridge with a Fender Hi-Mass unit and I love it. I have the transparent red version, it looks great.
You can find them for sale on some websites still, but it's not currently listed on the Squier website as a current model.

Yes! Glad they're still going to be available.Invalid Link Removed
Looks pretty cool. I like the 4+1 traditional headstock with clover tuners. Hope they sell enough of them so as they don't discontinue them.
Beautiful. How do the stock pickups sound? String noise/clicky?I replaced the bridge with a Fender Hi-Mass unit, here's a few pics of the install process. I think the Fender bridge is 19mm spacing, so you should be good to go!

New bridge lines up with factory holes with no issue, no drilling!!View attachment 2897426
The screws that came with the Fender bridge were a little bit longer, so I used those. Looks great installed, and the chrome finish is much better than the Squier pot metal.

I was thinking if they were crap I'd just replace them with Noordys.
That new bridge looks like a great idea. Better looking and probably better sustain.
