sr 505 mid switch

Does anyone know what the mid switch toggle does on the new sr505 bass?

Mids boost cut IIRC... honestly I don't like it. I can't get the tone I could out of the old ones.

It switches the frequency of the mid control. In one direction it has more of the mid-mid frequency and in another direction (can't remember which) it has more of a low mid frequency. I've played one in GC before and that's what it seemed to do.

I own a 2010 SR506 and I believe that switch enables you to choose the Mid freq band and from there you can boost it or cut it with the control knob. I could be wrong it has happened in the past.

thanks for the info i wonder if the switch cuts the mids completely or just dif frequencies ill maybe email ibanez
