I personally don't like shorts, sneakers, or baseball hats on-stage.
Then you might as well say that you shouldn't wear spectator shoes on stage because those are for spectating and that's the audience's job. Or any seersucker on stage if your show does not involve sucking a seer.Because they were designed for bowling, not bassing...
