Stamped on headstock

I recently purchased a Epiphone Embassy Standard IV. Stamped on the back of the headstock is the word "used". I love the bass, but just curious about who and why this was done.

It's a factory B Stock.

They stamp them at the factory so they can't be represented as 1st quality.

I hope that your purchase was discounted appropriately
