I would like a low pass filter pedal, smaller the better. I don't need or want additional functions, so while their presence may not be a deal breaker, if they make the pedal much bigger or expensive... it won't be that competitive.
Ideally I want a Broughton LPF. It seems to be just the thing. Price is reasonable too. Unfortunately they do not ship to the UK right now, and we have no idea when they will. So here I am, waiting until I can order one. But in the meantime, if I find something else, it would be attractive.
I found a guy who is selling his Broughton HPF/LPF, but he's based in another country and wants almost as much $$$ as a new one would cost me... which I could just overlook, but I don't need the HPF (I use a MesaD800+ pretty much exclusively now, and I love its HPF), so it becomes too dear.
The MarkBass SuperBooster pedal, with its VLE and VPF controls is very good. I have one! It was my favourite part about the MarkBass LMIII amp that I've been using for many years now. However, it's large, it really needs 12V to work well (9V works too, but it loses something I can't put my finger on), and it's embedded in a large pedalboard that I do not want to disassemble right now.
The Mooer Radar cab simulator is marketed as having a built-in adjustable HPF and LPF. Unfortunately the LPF only goes down to 3000 Hz, which is too high for my purposes, it's clearly designed to tweak the treble roll-off of the speaker cabinet simulations, not as a 'serious' effect on its own, which is a shame... because I use a Mooer Radar sometimes, so I thought I could just give it a try... but the lowest frequency is still too high for me.
Is there anything else out there that compares to the Broughton LPF?
