I just purchased this from a fellow TBer. I need a stable, safe, stand to place it on in between sets. Suggestions? I've tried Gollihur, Guitar Ctr., nothing seems to work. Ive read something about drum hardware? Here's a pic.
Suggestions? Any Merchant Verticle Bass owners out there?
Thanks!

It's designed for an end-pin rather than a crossbar, but should still support the bar pretty firmly.

I've had one of these for a couple of years now, and it's rock-solid. Just read the views for the one gotcha: you need to make sure it's assembled and clipped together firmly.

I made a stand for mine from an old speaker stand. Any good tripod stand should work. The trick is to capture the "t" base with a piece of u channel of some sort, so that the base won't slide away from the stand. Here are some pictures of mine. works great.
I built mine after the bass slid off the wall I had it leaned against, and crashed to the floor. After finishing the song I was playing on electric bass, I picked it up expecting major damage but to my relief it was even still in tune. Needless to say I didn't want to risk being that lucky again.DSC00971.JPG DSC00970.JPG DSC00969.JPG DSC00968.JPG DSC00967.JPG

Very nice!
I finally eliminated the cross bar and put a rubber cap on the end. I really like how it stands much better while playing
But still searching for a stand. I’m curious about your pickup set up. What’s going on behind the bridge?
