I had the most amazing experience of meeting Marcus Miller about a month ago in Atlanta at the Miller Duke Sanborn show! I forgot everything i wanted to say (nervous) but i did manage to ask him what pickups he used in his bass and he told me he used standard fender pickups. My question is are all Fender Jazz pickups the same? I dont think the pickups in a Squire jazz bass are the same as the picksups in a $2500.00 American Standard are they? Do single coils and humcancelling pickups sound different? I have a 75 jazz with emg's that im ready to switch out but not sure what to get. I love the Marcus Miller tone but not sure about what pickups to get. Nordstand's? Fender Stock?
