True, but still..maybe I'm just not refined or a cheap bastard, but even $90 for a bottle of wine is overdoing it for me. But then again I tend to stick to local wineries and have never paid more than $30 for a bottle.

True, but still..maybe I'm just not refined or a cheap bastard, but even $90 for a bottle of wine is overdoing it for me. But then again I tend to stick to local wineries and have never paid more than $30 for a bottle.
Which is why I don't see (any of) them any more.
But considering I know people who paid over a grand for Stones tickets when they were here in 73, a C note is not all that outlandish by comparison.
