Double Bass Stat B Vintage Shims

Does anyone know where I could get the small wood shims that come with the Schertler Stat B Vintage? I emailed Schertler but no response. Thanks!

Schertler does not answer communications, in my experience. The shims were first adopted by a luthier or bassist to make the pick up fit better and turned out to make it sound better....they are made from little ends of scrap Maple cut and glued to the inner curve of the bridge. Have your luthier make them and install them...just get a picture and tell him or her to copy it. Don't wedge them too tight. Good luck

Slice off a piece from a wine cork to fit and glue it to the Stat cork. If you just need a very small amount to correct you can use clear nail polish to build up the surface on the Stat cork.

Thanks....it needs the shim underneath actually so that it can point straight up. For now I used a small piece of business card which is doing the trick.

Low and behold, in my mailbox today were the wood shims sent by Schertler! Case closed and thanks for the replies.
