I've been back-and-forth regarding the selling of this bass but another build requires that I let this baby go.
Here are the details:
- Headed, "through-neck"
- 35" scale
- Two-piece mahogany body with walnut top
- Standard 18mm spacing
- Red accent line
- Status pickups and electronics (board 302)
- Schaller strap locks
- Original Hiscox HSC included
- Weight: 10.26 lbs (4.667 kilos)
Overall condition is excellent (I absolutely pamper my basses). Only two points worth mentioning (for the sake of full disclosure): there is a slight amount of lacquer missing from where the fingerboard ends (Rob's basses have several coats of lacquer on them, and these go right up to the edge of the fingerboard and nut). This is a very minor detail but I thought I'd mention it and include a photo (photo is below with the area in question "circled"). Also, the lacquer around where the graphite meets the body wings has separated slightly from the wood making that particular area look a bit "cloudy". This appears to be fairly common with Status basses and occurs when the wood expands/contracts normally (with seasonal changes) but the graphite does not. It is purely cosmetic (see photos).
Asking $2300 Canadian shipped (in Canada - anywhere else and you pay the difference).
Edit: price reduced to $2050 CND.
Missing lacquer:
