So everyone,
I have decided for my next bass purchase, it will from Warmoth. I feel that it would be really fun to be able to assemble my next bass. Especially after putting work into my current basses to make them the way I like and the way I want them to play. Here is my description of my next bass
- Deluxe 5 Jazz -
Body: Alder rear rout and J-J config, string thru
Color: Alpine White
Neck: Maple/maple (4+1 tuners) with black dots and Graphtech nut. Oh and medium frets.
Hardware: Black Takeuchi string thru bridge and Schaller BML tuners.
Knobs: Im thinking just black barrel knobs or my set of Sadowsky knobs off my SX bass.
Pickups: I have decided that on this bass I want to get some of Basslines Active Jazz pickups. They seem to be sort of a take on EMG's, and currently Im playing through all EMGs in my basses. I would like to compare, if i dont like i will just swap out some of my other emgs in another bass. I would just run it vol/vol/tone, just like a normal jazz bass. That is how i currently have my emg's ran in both my j-style basses. I love the way i can control it and its just basic enough. I have had my run with onboard pres, and i feel like my amp and my hands are all the EQ i need. let the pickups do some of the work as well. I guess I am a fan of EMG's preset EQ in the pickups, hence why id like to hear Basslines take.
i think thats pretty much it. tell me what you think!
thanks
