Steinberger Synapse for traveling

I have been looking for a travel bass to fly with for a future music project.
My local mom and pop music store just received this in on a trade.
Negotiated a fair to both parties price and gave it a new home.
I took the bridge apart to lubricate tuning mechanism, set up intonation and neck.
This thing sounds and plays fantastic.
I have the manual, soft bag and hard case.

Great basses.
I have a trio of the older pre Synapse versions, 4, 5 and guitar that I use to take with me, usually the 5 and guitar in a double shotgun bag.

Good choice for a travel bass!

I’ve had an original Steinberger L-2 since 1982, and it has *always* been the easiest instrument to fly with. No dicking around with ATA flight cases, or gate checks, or air freight, or shipping it ahead to your destination via FedEx, etc etc (all things that I’ve had to do when flying with other basses I own). Just bring the Steinberger into the cabin as your carry-on luggage, pop it into the overhead compartment, and Bob’s Yer Uncle.
