That's an XP, which has a wooden body and a bolt-on graphite neck. $900 is on the high side of average. I turned down a bunch when they were $300 back in the '90s.

I get that, but in nearly unplayed condition is pretty awesome. I'd bet he'd take less. I remember buying all kinds of stuff super cheap 20 years ago, like a 6 string Alembic Elan for 1,800.00 new...

I agree it's a little bit high priced. Being red will make it a little rarer. I have a well used white one I got for $500 years ago. It was my first Steiny. The problem with the XP's is that they hang different. If you don't normally watch what you're playing you can end up a half step high. It hangs just a little further to the left than normal. But a nice bass.

I have the odd feeling this was mine a year ago, I sold it to someone out of town in VA for $600. I really did not like it. It was surprisingly clean though.
