Has anyone noticed that the "Stickies" are getting pretty dated? I was looking through one today that was from 2002 - 10 years old? Do you really think that the technical data is still relevant? Let alone the equipment they were mentioning would either be in a Pawn shop or museum now! Hmmm, do they ever get updated?

Stickies: Losing their glue

I can't speak for all stickies, but the Effects forum FAQ was originally written by yours truly in 2005. It's been updated by moderators past and present to remain relevant.
Depends on what you are looking at.
Sure, there are some newer gadgets to the table.
But the basics of most bass guitars (active and passive) and amplifiers hasn't really changed much in the past 10 years. Heck, you play a Thunderbird, P-bass and use an Ampeg SVT. Hardly cutting edge equipment! (not slanting it at all by the way, my gear list isn't exactly new in terms of technical engineering!).
Plus, look at the edit dates, as tplyons points out, many of the original stickies have been edited through the past 10 years.

10 years hasn't changed the properties of physics.
