StingRay 5 vs Lakland 55-01

I think, both are great Instruments, but i guess, like others said before, you can´t really compare those two Basses.

While I wrote that I´ve got a Thought. If you compare the SR5 to the 55-01, it would be the same to cmpare the SR4 to the 44-01. I´ve had a 44-01 before and it was a very good Bass, but I would say the SR4 by far. It´s one of the great Classics.

That brings me back to say..."You can´t compare them" at least.

I can see what u r saying. I think the SR4 blows away the 44-01 IMHO..
I love the MM 4 strings, and I LOVE my sterling, but I just dont have that LOVE rush with the SR5... I guess thats what Im saying.. I want a 5er that Ive got MAD love for.. While I love my SR5, I dont LOVE it....

Ill be hitting a store soon nearby, taking my SR5 and play that and the 55-01 and see what feels better to me..

I do like the idea of wider string spacing on the 55-01.. Im a little apprehensive of the 35 as opposed to the 34... Im looking forward to seeing how I feel...

what ever happened with this? I find myself today in the exact same predicament. I like my SR5...have been liking it a lot more recently. I used to have a 55-94 with duncans and sold it and have regretted it on numerous occasions...so I see the 55-01 as my makeup call.
