Up for sale is my Music Man Stingray Special 5 HH in beautiful charcoal sparkle finish! This is a great bass, the low B is good, set ups are a breeze, and it's incredibly versatile with the 2 pickups and 18V pre. this was my first five string and it turns out I prefer my 4s. I do not know the exact weight, but it weighs less than my 4 string non-special stingray. Somewhere between 9-9.5 lbs. No dings or scratches, this bass has barely left the house. No plastic film on the pick guard and the finish on the pickup screws has worn down a bit from normal playing but otherwise great condition. neck feels incredible. Has ebony fretboard. Includes original Music Man hardshell case that came with the bass and all the case candy. I'd prefer to keep it fairly local, I live in Lafayette, Indiana prepared to drive an hour or 2, but I'm willing to ship. If you have any questions don't be afraid to ask! This one deserves a good home. Thanks for looking! {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {} {}
Even prettier in person! The sparkle never comes out great in pics. From my experience black screws only stay black if you don't touch them . All six of the pickup screw heads have worn to a light grey color. The pickguard screws haven't suffered the same fate yet but give them a few years and I'm sure they'll catch up.
Yep faded screws. Definitely not stripped. I've never adjusted the pickups on this bass. Thanks for looking!
Cool. Thanks, Such a great looking bass. Since you posted this I have gone and played a couple SRS5 basses and they are sweet. I, like you, usually play 4 string basses, but this 5 was so fun to play. Decisions, decisions. Good problems to have I guess.
This is definitely my favorite 5 string I've had the chance to play. I'd keep it around if I hadn't gotten bit by the Rickenbacker bug! The versatility of the HH is nice. This one has a lot more variety on tap compared to my single H stingray 4.
Sorry everyone. I decided I would most likely regret selling this bass. Changed status to "no longer available". Take care!
