Stolen 1965 Rickenbacker 4005 Mapleglo

Hello all,
**Update the guitar was not stolen - it was misplaced**

Thank you all for your support.
I am posting on behalf of my dad here - I don't think he can lift his head to write this.
We need your help in a big way! Last night someone broke into our home in California and stole my dad's prized 1965 Rickenbacker 4005 Mapleglo

The thieves didn't steal anything else (weird) but they tore through the house and found the guitar stored in the closet, removed it from the case, and left.

We are offering a large cash reward for anyone who can help us retrieve the bass. This guitar means the world to my family and if you can help return it we will ask no questions and pay you in cash - no cops.

That bass is one of my dream basses. I'd give up everything in my collection to have one.

Had an equipment truck get knocked into behind the old My Place Tavern south of SeaTac Airport in 1976, that winter. All I lost was an old Kustom rolled-and-tucked 100watt head, but our guitarist lost a 1957 Les Paul TV model and a '56 Junior. Some clothes and personal stuff, which I thought was-- odd-- at the time, though we were wearing nice stuff on stage by then. Four years later the guitars were recovered at the apartment where Spokane's Hillside Rapist was living, after he was brought to justice. Yay for justice-- and if anyone sees a black Kustom head with "SHAKER" on the bottom in jaggedy letters, I wish the owner well and hope they enjoy it, because I replaced it with a GMT (Gallien-Krueger) the next day and found my True Voice. No hard feelings. Those old Kustom amps, man, them and the Acoustic 150-- simple, bare bones, inexpensive, decent power, not the greatest sound but they worked ruthlessly--

Crazy story man, people can be pretty awful but it sounds like guys were the lucky victims of that monster.
Funny enough the Galliens are good family friends of ours... You should see his home setup.
